By mid-April Jupiter is moving forward again too. May brings calm, sensuality and pleasure in ordinary things, especially from the middle of the month, when Venus enters Taurus.

Summer: inventions and the eclipse of the century

June will be the most inventive month of the year, with Uranus and Pluto meeting in an exact trine in the middle of it. Mercury, however, is retrograde from the second week of June until early July, so sign important contracts by June 9 or wait until July. In late July Jupiter moves into Virgo and optimism turns into practical improvement. A week later, on August 2, comes the total solar eclipse in Leo, the longest totality over land between 1991 and 2114. Near Luxor in Egypt it lasts more than six minutes, while across Europe the Moon takes a large bite out of the Sun.

Autumn and the end of the year: rethinking and relief

From August Saturn is retrograde, and right up to Christmas we'll be reconsidering a lot: at work, in our relationships and in the promises we made ourselves in spring. In October Mercury turns retrograde for the third and final time, this time in Scorpio and Libra. In late November Venus and Mars both enter Capricorn, giving the close of the year strength as well as charm. On Christmas Eve Saturn turns direct and the pressure many have felt since summer finally eases.

Fire signs: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius

For fire, 2027 is a year of courage with forethought. Aries have Saturn in their own sign all year: they build, carry responsibility and have their best month in April. Leos enjoy Jupiter in their sign until late July, and in August the eclipse falls right in Leo, a new beginning of the kind that comes once in many years.
