Annular Solar Eclipse
The imaginary full stop behind the rich astronomical year of 2019 will be December 26, when one of the most beautiful phenomena occurs - an annular solar eclipse. This can be seen when the Moon, because of its distance, seems slightly smaller and covers only the central part of the solar disk, giving a unique spectacle for a few minutes. The Sun then creates a bright ring around it.
Unfortunately, we will not see this phenomenon in our country, because the next ring eclipse visible from our location will not occur until 2075. Thus, we have no choice but to watch this beautiful phenomenon using online streaming or head straight to Asia, where it will be visible mostly from anywhere on that continent.
